First Step Fundraising – FSF Process
- Pre-Campaign Assessment
The Assessment is an essential first step. It identifies a nonprofit’s strengths and weaknesses, examines the prospective fundraising base and recommends strategies to make an organization campaign-ready. - Create and Manage Fundraising Campaigns
Directing all formative campaign steps, including the establishment of programmatic and leadership structures as well as operating strategies;
Development of appropriate campaign themes, materials, brochures, online media;
Preparation of communication and policies and plans; - Constituent Relationship Management (CRM)
The basic building block of fundraising is knowing who your constituents are and when, where, and how they have interacted with your organization. That’s what CRM is all about. - Online Fundraising
We can develop a strong web presence that will become a major part of your fundraising efforts. - Membership Management & Stewardship
Build relationships with members that result in long-term support. Our solutions can show supporters what their gifts do for your organization’s mission, and raise their awareness of just how critical their funds are. Here’s a couple of good ways to do it: send personalized thank-you letters, send regular newsletters online and via snail mail to keep everyone up to date about what is going on - Corporate Sponsorship
Develop relationships with businesses which receive advertising for their giving - Planned & Recurring Giving
A planned gift is any major gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning. - Major Giving
Major gifts are a great source of funding, but securing them can be extremely time-consuming. FSF can develop major giving relationships. - Organizational Development
FSF will train you on the fundraising process so you can continue on with the newly developed campaigns year after year. - Reporting and Analysis
FSF can provide vital information on fundraising effectiveness and program performance along with opportunities to increase giving.
Prior to each engagement, FSF will develop a formal proposal that clarifies the services to be provided and a specific time period for the arrangement. Letters of agreement include appropriate considerations for governing a client relationship, recognizing that most contracts reflect no less than six-month engagements, and many run for 12, 18 or 24 months.
